Play SCVNGR at the ACPA Annual Convention!

Posted on February 27, 2012 at 1:20 PM

Play SCVNGR at the ACPA Annual Convention to win awesome prizes like a free registration to ACPA 2013, two iPad 2's, a kindle fire, and more!

SCVNGR is a mobile game about going places, doing challenges, and earning points. You can play via text message or on the free iPhone/Android Smartphone apps.

There will be two SCVNGR experiences at the ACPA Conference. To play a game that takes you throughout the exhibit hall, download the SCVNGR app from the iPhone app store or Android Market, and create an account. Click 'treks' and find the trek labeled "ACPA 2012." Select each booth and complete the designated challenge at each one along the way!

To play a game that will guide you through the ACPA Conference sessions and the great city of Louisville, KY, app players can follow the same instructions above, except they will select the "ACPA Day 1" trek on the first day, the "ACPA Day 2" trek for the second day, and the "ACPA Day 3" trek for the third day. Text message players can opt in by texting "acpaday1" to SCVNGR (728647) the first day, "acpaday2" the second day, and "acpaday3" for the third day. Make sure that if you do not complete a trek on a given day, that you text "quit" back to 728647 so you can quit that day's trek and opt into the new day's trek! If you have any questions, find the representatives at the SCVNGR booth for help!

Good luck and have fun!

hi,
SCVNGR add fun and engagement to Conferences attendees.
Usually the game is focus outside the lectures Halls, right?

Well, I have gamified my invited lecture entitled: Gamification for Brands at #Digital2012 Conference of the CBC Group. http://www.cbcgroup.co.il/

Think of a Lecture as a Quest. Instead of passive participation I've created points of interest and challenges as I walked through my lecture Journey. Participants feedback was amazing http://pinterest.com/pin/59813501271004912/

What do you think? feedback and comments are most welcome to unlock the Gamification Ninja Challenge !-)
